A growing travel company has launched a recruitment drive as vacations make a comeback in 2022.
Blue Bay Travel, based in Stoke-on-Trent, is looking for new hires who have never worked in the travel industry before.
The company wants to hire up to eight personal travel advisors and, for the first time ever, is targeting people who are completely new to the business.
The recruitment drive will allow Blue Bay to deliver a bespoke travel training program to equip candidates with the industry knowledge and skills they need to become a fully-fledged travel consultant.
It comes after Blue Bay Travel – which specializes in long-haul holidays – saw turnover in the first four months of this year surpass pre-pandemic levels.

Alistair Rowland, Managing Director of Blue Bay Travel, said: “As a business, we are proud to have been able to retain all of our colleagues during the pandemic and now, with travel firmly on track, we are hiring more.
“We’re looking for eight bright and enthusiastic personal travel advisors to join our busy sales team and they don’t need to be travel backgrounds.
“The entire travel industry is facing recruiting challenges at the moment, so by expanding the network to include non-traveller candidates, we seek to attract top talent with a wealth of valuable experience. other sectors to share.
“It will also lead to more diversity in our workforce, which is what we are looking for.”
In addition to the Travel Advisor roles, Blue Bay is also recruiting two Sales Team Leaders who will be responsible for coaching and managing a team of Advisors and reviewing their individual sales performance.

Those who successfully apply for Personal Travel Advisor roles will need to start their training on Monday, August 1.
The four-week program will include a combination of classroom training, led by Blue Bay’s Learning and Development Manager, and on-the-job coaching.
Ideal candidates will have at least one year of experience in a sales role, but not necessarily in the travel industry.
All new hires will be based at the Blue Bay offices located in the Trentham business district.
