Trump hotels dumped by luxury travel agency Virtuoso

“Trump Hotels is no longer part of the Virtuoso network,” the company said.

The luxury travel agency declined to explain why it made the decision, saying it “takes into account many variables when considering membership in the existing and new network. Out of respect for all parties involved, and as a general policy we do not share feedback regarding our non-renewal and exit decisions. “

Zenger News, a digital wire service, was the first to report the news.

Virtuoso operates a network of over 1,100 travel agencies and approximately 22,000 travel counselors in 50 countries. The travel agency maintains privileged relationships with a number of “hotels and resorts, cruise lines, airlines, tour operators and prime destinations.” Advisors typically work with high-end clients to provide them with “unique experiences, special values, free perks, VIP treatment, and rare access.”

It comes as Donald Trump’s businesses have taken a hit in the past year. Even before Trump stepped down and his role in the insurgency on the U.S. Capitol entailed further complications for his businesses, the pandemic was straining the properties of the Trump Organization around the world.

The Trump Organization did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
